The FaffCon Friday Field Trip

A FaffCon tradition! The FaffCon Friday Field Trip is a terrific opportunity to have fun hanging out with old friends and making new ones, before we jump into the very serious business of unconferencing (just kidding–we have fun doing that, too!)

Faffy loves to find something unique to each area, and she’s been dying to wrap her fins around the steering wheel of a finely tuned stock car with a roaring V-8 engine.  Watch out Dale Jr, here she comes!!

Meet, Mingle (and Compete!) at the NASCAR Hall of Fame

FaffCon’s traditional Friday Field Trip is a unique opportunity to get to know other top voice talents in a casual atmosphere, over a shared activity (we don’t make you “mingle” with a glass in one hand and a stack of business cards in the other at the usual, awkward networking mixer.)We’ll be forming teams and competing in fun NASCAR-themed activities. Provide color-commentary on a televised NASCAR event, accept the timed pit stop challenge, race against your VO pals old and new in a full-scale NASCAR simulator!You don’t need to be a race fan to enjoy this unique VO networking event (but you do need to be a registered FaffCon participant).

Dinner at the Carolina Ale House

After all the adrenalin and racing, we’ll take a short 5 minute walk (about 1/4 mile) back down College Street on the way to the hotel to the fun and lively Carolina Ale House for dinner.

(Faffy can’t wait to try the Fried Pickles.  She is in the South after all!)
