We’re proud to announce that FaffCon 8 participants raised $8000 for our Minneapolis Charity Partner, Breanna’s Gift!
Bringing smiles to the faces of children with cancer and other serious illnesses through the magic of the arts.
Breanna’s Gift offers dance, visual art, music, and theater classes and workshops for children with cancer and other serious illnesses (and their siblings). All children in their dance classes receive their own pair of tap shoes and costumes for class and to take with them. Classes are free to all participants and to the facilities where the programs are held. Contributions to Breanna’s Gift help cover the cost of professional instructors, dance shoes & costumes, as well as art and music supplies. Another of the charity’s exciting initiatives is their Art TakeoutTM, which provides individual art classes in a box for kids who are not well enough to join group classes. Art Takeout projects are also sent to several hospitals outside the Twin Cities area, expanding the ability to provide an arts experience to more seriously ill children.
FaffCon 8 participants contributed throughout the weekend, culminating with an exciting last-minute boost to round us up to an even $8k as part of FaffCon’s tradition of missions of leaving a positive footprint in each of its host cities by making a donation to a local non-profit.
In the past we’ve raised thousands of dollars for the following charities:
